The hosts of the noontime variety show E.A.T. threw a touching bridal shower for their co-host, Maine Mendoza, on Saturday, July 22.
The actress and host will soon tie the knot with Quezon City representative and actor Arjo Atayde. The bridal shower surprises began with Joey Generoso, Ice Seguerra, and Carren Eistrup serenading Mendoza with timeless hits.

To make her bridal shower more memorable, Legit Dabarkads Ryzza Mae Dizon, Allan K., Miles Ocampo, and Seguerra gave the bride-to-be witty and creative gifts. Shenna Halili-Manzanero, Kristine Hermosa and Oyo Sotto, Jose Manalo, and her nephews also gave heartfelt messages through a video greeting.
Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon, also known as TVJ, prepared a special song number of My Girl by The Temptations. It was followed by a playful performance of Paolo Ballesteros, Wally Bayola, and “Tugue Zombie,” where they individually came out from a huge gift box.
Mendoza became emotional when the E.A.T. hosts flashed an audio-visual presentation of her journey, including her earlier days at the show as Yaya Dub.
“Sobrang blessed ko na dito ako dinala ni Lord. Parang hanggang ngayon hindi pa rin po ako makapaniwala na nandito po ako at deserving po ako maging dabarkads. Pero sa araw-araw po na kasama ko kayo, lagi niyong pinaparamdam sakin na parte po ako dito. Maraming salamat po,” she said.

TVJ tearfully gave their messages to the bride-to-be. Tito Sotto was the first one to send wishes, “Maine, ang wish namin sayo happiness and love sa bago mong tatahakin sa buhay.”
“Arjo, ikaw nang bahala kay Maine. Cong, alagaan mong mabuti yung dabarkads namin,” Vic Sotto said.
“Ano man ang mangyari, mahal ka namin. 14344,” De Leon uttered.
Mendoza also took to social media to express her gratitude to the Legit Dabarkads for a love-filled bridal shower.
“Napaka saya ng puso ko. I am so blessed and I am truly grateful. Maraming salamat sa lahat, Lord. Maraming salamat sa pagtanggap at sa pagmamahal, dabarkads. Mula noon hanggang ngayon. 14344!,” she wrote.
Mendoza and Atayde got engaged in July 2022.
