Comedienne Mahal, or Noemi Tesorero in real life, has passed away, according to her family. She was 46 years old. According to a report by ABS-CBN, the actor’s sister, Irene Tesorero, shared that Mahal died due to complications caused by COVID-19.

Just over a week ago, one of Mahal’s newest vlogs went viral. The video showed her reunion with her former onscreen “twin,” Mura. The actress traveled all the way to Albay just to visit her old friend, even bringing gifts. The reunion brought joy to fans, accumulating over 1.7 million views as of writing, and over 9,000 comments.

Mahal, who has dwarfism, become known in the 90s in movies Anak ni Janice and Kokey, and in 2003 in the movie Mr. Suave, where she was paired with Dagul, another actor with dwarfism. They played Vhong Navarro’s parents. She was also a host in the 90s noontime show, MTB, where she was paired with Mura.
