Markets here in the Philippines, or “palengke” as we call it, are known for their awful smell and not-so-sanitary conditions. That’s why they’re usually called “wet market”! Yet Pinoys still flock to their local palengkes despite those conditions simply for one thing: the low prices of goods. But what if we told you that there’s a newly opened market in Metro Manila that offers great facilities and low prices?
It may be hard to believe that a market in Metro Manila can actually be so clean, organized, and spacious while maintaining palengke price, but that is exactly what we found. Choice Market Ortigas, just opened in December 21, 2018 in time for people’s holiday needs, is a local palengke in Pasig City that promises affordable, fresh goods in a setting that will give you supermarket feels. It’s so clean and spacious!
