To commemorate the Asia Challenge 2019 in Manila, Lils Hobby Center, The BrickYard, and Tamiya are launching a special edition “Dyipne” Mini 4WD kit of our very own Philippine jeepney! How cool is that?
As you can see, the upcoming Tamiya ‘Dyipne” is modeled after our very own public transportation in the Philippines: the Philippine jeepney.
If you are a fellow kid of the 90s, you probably remember all of the guys in your school racing their Tamiyas. Well now, you can race your Tamiya jeepneys Pinoy-style and show them who’s the real boss of the road.
I never owned a Tamiya, so I’m not gonna pretend like I’m a pro. However, despite the fact that I have never owned a Tamiya in my life, I honestly wouldn’t mind getting my hands on one of these. I think it would be fun to assemble and then put on display somewhere in my room. This is considered a collectible, after all, right?

The Tamiya ‘Dyipne’ is in the 1/32 Scale Mini 4WD Rev Series. It has a snap-together assembly and doesn’t require any glue. The type 130 motor is included and the model will require two AA batteries to run. While paint isn’t included, stickers are included, so you can decorate your jeepney as you see fit.
Will you be getting your hands on one of these?
