Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo often share photos of their happy family on social media.

Recently, Ryan shared photos of their son Lucho while playing football.

The proud dad wrote, “77,” referencing his son’s jersey. Lucho is a member of the Arayat Football Club.

The young Agoncillo is a long-time football player, playing for his school’s football team, the Bohemians. In 2018, he competed at the Alaska Football Cup held at the Ayala Alabang Country Club.

The following year, the team did not win the finals of a tournament, but Lucho’s dad shared words of encouragement. Ryan wrote on social media, “2 weeks ago, after going the whole month of the tournament with your Bohemians undefeated, I saw you disappointedly looking on as the 1st place medal went to your rivals.

“The final score, 1-0.

“I understood that it was very tough, we mostly stayed silent and just smiled at each other on the way home.

“What makes me proud, is not the fact that, you took it on the chin and went straight back to practice.

“What makes me proud, is not the fact that, you knew there were more talented boys in your team and the only way you could help them was to play harder.

“What makes me proud, is not the fact that, the night before the second leg of the games, you said ‘Dad I’m gonna wear long sleeves, because it will get rough out there’.

“What makes me proud, is not the fact that, you listened intently to your coaches’ instructions.

“What makes me proud, is not the fact that your team won the opener, 9-nil.

“What makes me proud, is not the fact that, you said ‘Dad I didn’t celebrate my first goal, because the keeper of the other team is my friend’.

“What makes me proud, is not the fact that, you took back your only loss, and defeated the team that took the gold medal from you, 8-0.

“What makes me proud, is the fact that, through this all, you always remained a sport, and a gentleman.”

Lucho, however, made up for it and in 2022, the Arayat Football Club placed 2nd runner-up in the LaLiga Youth Tournament in Malaysia.
