When you think about possible gifts to surprise your partner with on their birthday, it isn’t often that the idea of getting them a yacht would pop into your head.
But apparently, that’s exactly what Neri Naig-Miranda had in mind for her husband Chito Miranda.
On her Instagram page last week, Neri shared a picture of her and a very happy looking Parokya Ni Edgar frontman posing in front of their new family yacht as she greeted Chito a happy birthday.
According to Neri, the blue and white yacht already includes a bedroom, a mini living room, and a restroom—all the amenities you need for a relaxing ride in the sea.
“Happy birthday, baby ko (my baby)! Surprise!” Neri said in the caption. “May maliit na kaming yate. Parang pinalaking speed boat lang, pero may bedroom, mini sala, at banyo. (We now have a small yacht. It’s just like a bigger speedboat, but it has a bedroom, mini living room, and a bathroom.)”
She also showed a couple of pictures of what it looks like inside. She added that she looks forward to hosting friends for a ride on the yacht from time to time or to just go fishing with family, as they love to fish.
Neri also shared that they will be allowing rentals for the boat in the future.

She then revealed that they had named their yacht “Margarita” which is what they would have named their new baby had it been a girl.
“Anong name ng yate? Syempre, Margarita! Since hindi girl ang naging baby namin, dito na lang namin ipinangalan. (And the name of the yacht? Margarita, of course! Since our baby didn’t turn out to be a girl, we just used the name on this boat,)” she said.
Many of their celebrity friends sent their birthday greetings to Chito in the comments and expressed excitement over getting to go on quick staycations in the sea with the couple aboard their new boat.
