World’s worst airport no more??
The Official Gazette of the Republic of the Philippines posted before-and-after photos of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 with its new look on their Facebook page, which underwent a rehabilitation project last year.
Major upgrades include changes in the arrival lobby, departure lobby, Custom area, concessionaire areas, as well as new baggage carousels, check-in counters, and yes… toilets!
Deputy Presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte even posted this tweet showing off the new restrooms at the airport:
The rehabilitation project is apparently 80 percent complete, according to the Official Gazette, and is expected to be finished by May this year.
