LOOK: Meet the World’s Oldest Game Streamer who Loves Playing Violent Video Games

Have you ever heard of “Gamer Grandma”? Well, this 90-year-old from Japan just won the Guinness World Record for being the oldest video gamer streamer!

Gamer Grandma, real name Hamako Mori, has been streaming games on her YouTube channel for 39 years, amassing a vast collection of games from as early as the 80s. Don’t be fooled, though; she has played plenty of the most popular games today, including Call of Duty, Skyrim, and NieR:Automata. She even cited Grand Theft Auto V — yes, the violent action-adventure game — as one of her favorites!

When asked during her interview with the Guinness World Records why she got into streaming, she said, “I felt that if I started to play games, life would be really interesting and I wouldn’t have to think about unnecessary things. I’m glad to have lived till this age and I’m glad that I’ve learned how to play video games. I’m enjoying life.”

She also shared how she wished more of her peers would give video gaming a go and to realize how fun it actually is to play them.
