Joshua Garcia just bagged a new project this year as he was revealed to be the lead star of the upcoming film adaptation of a well-loved Bob Ong book, “Ang Mga Kaibigan ni Mama Susan.”
The film’s producer Black Sheep announced the news yesterday, February 5, on its Instagram account.

Regal Films will co-produce the film which will be directed by Chito S. Roรฑo, known best for his films “Feng Shui” and “The Healing.”
Released in 2010, the mystery novel is told through the journal entries written by a student, Galo, residing in Manila who returns home to the province where he was raised by his grandmother, Susan, after learning she is ill. But as Galo cares for his ailing grandmother, he uncovers various mysteries and horrors that eventually makes him question his sanity.
Joshua’s last horror film was the recently released zombie flick “Block Z” directed by Mikhail Red.
