The Avatar sequels keep getting pushed back, but here’s a little something that will tide over the fans who are looking forward to what’s next: a photo that marks the last filming for 2019.

According to the official Twitter account of the film, the set shows the “aft well deck section of the Sea Dragon, a massive mothership that carries an array of other sea-going craft in the sequels.”
Wave machines, blazing fire, and @JimCameron wielding a 3D camera — just another day on the set of the Avatar sequels!

Last month, the Twitter account also shared a behind the scenes look at filming. The photo was captioned, “Wave machines, blazing fire, and @JimCameron wielding a 3D camera — just another day on the set of the Avatar sequels!”
To date, there are four Avatar sequels that are scheduled for December 17, 2021, December 22, 2023, December 19, 2025, and December 17, 2027.
Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, and Sigourney Weaver are set to return, and they will be joined by Kate Winslet, Vin Diesel, and more.
