Honey Grace Cartasano, a Binibining Pilipinas hopeful, has been called by different media outlets a ‘modern-day Cinderella’. The title comes from her determination to better her and her family’s life through sacrifices. Aside from working hard at different day jobs, she’s also pursued pageantry to support her family.

But maybe instead of being called a fairytale princess, the title of superhero would be more fitting. After, all she does bear a strong similarity to Angel Locsin who famously made the role of Darna her own.
Apparently, the resemblance has been so obvious that her fellow Binibining Pilipinas candidates have started referencing the two together quite often. If you don’t believe us, just take a look at their profiles side-by-side:

Cartasano’s profile on the Binibining Pilipinas website describes her as “once an out-of-school youth and had to work different jobs to finance her own education.” Her goal is “to be an inspiration to the youth who face a similar situation.”
