Filipino celebrities like Liza Soberano and Inigo Pascual updated fans as raging wildfires ravaged Los Angeles, California.
In an Instagram story, Liza expressed her heartfelt gratitude to everyone who reached out to check on her safety. The 27-year-old actress confirmed that she is not currently in Los Angeles but has been praying for those directly affected by the wildfires.
“Thank you to everyone who checked in on me. I’m okay. I’m not in LA as of the moment. But my heart goes out to all of my friends in LA. Praying for everyone’s safety,” she wrote.
The Filipino actress has been residing in Los Angeles for her Hollywood career and other professional pursuits. Meanwhile, Inigo and his family are among the celebrities who had to evacuate from their homes due to the wildfires.
The actor-singer updated fans through his Instagram story: “Thanks to everyone that [has] checked in. Haven’t been able to respond to all the messages.”
“My family evacuated where we live last night and everyone is safe, including our furry fam members,” he shared.
He also offered his prayers to everyone in Los Angeles, especially to everyone who had lost their homes.
“If you’re in LA, please stay alert: the fires just seem to pop out of nowhere,” he added.
On January 7, a disastrous series of wildfires forced residents from Los Angeles to flee their homes. The L.A. Times reported that the Los Angeles-area fires could be one of the worst wildfire-related disasters in American history, with more than 9,000 structures damaged and over 100,000 residents affected.
Among the Hollywood celebrities who have lost their homes or had to evacuate from the Los Angeles wildfires are Paris Hilton, Jhene Aiko, Anna Faris, Mandy Moore, Jamie Lee Curtis, Cobie Smulders and Taran Killam, Leighton Meester and Adam Brody, and Milo Ventimiglia, among others.
