Rising Chinese actor Liang Youcheng passed away after suspected influenza complications on January 30. He was 27.

On February 5, The Star reported that the actor initially exhibited mild symptoms and was diagnosed with a common cold. However, his condition immediately worsened and led to severe infections of the central nervous system.
Despite emergency treatment, he passed away in the hospital on the second day of Chinese New Year. No family members were present at the time of his passing.
Liang Youcheng starred in dramas such as My Heart and Echo of Her Voice. He was also set to appear in the upcoming series It Girl In Tang Dynasty.
Similarly, Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu died due to influenza-related pneumonia on February 2.
