It’s been a hectic year for Laureen Uy and Miggy Cruz. After an intimate wedding in March, a beach wedding in April, and opening a series of Hungry Homies branches throughout the year, the happy couple is now expecting their first child!
She first noticed signs of pregnancy during a Hungry Homies team-building activity, feeling unusually tired and sleepy. Upon returning home, she took two pregnancy tests, both of which confirmed her pregnancy.

Laureen Uy captured the exact moment she found out, which was truly emotional. She immediately shared the news with her husband, who cheerfully embraced her as she cried happy tears. “Akala ko may COVID ka,” Miggy Cruz joked.
“To be honest, this is something that we’ve both been wanting since we got married because, for me, personally, I wanted to get married because I wanted to start a family with you,” the soon-to-be-father expressed. “It was an overwhelming feeling na parang gustong sumabog ng katawan ko but, at the same time, I was trying to keep it together.”
Laureen Uy and Miggy Cruz also vlogged about their checkups, attempts to a healthier lifestyle and diet during their pregnancy, and plans to prepare for their upcoming baby! “The shift in priorities was so real na, I just wanted to be super present for you,” Miggy Cruz reassured Laureen Uy while they both tried not to tear up again.
Laureen Uy first shared the news with her brother and sister, Vince Uy and Liz Uy. Liz Uy was overjoyed and gave Laureen a warm hug.
