Lechon is one of the things that has become imbued deeply into Filipino cultureโno big celebration would be complete without it. It is a way of showing to the guests that you value their presence. And for the past decades, the word lechon has become synonymous with the restaurantย Lydia’s Lechon. They’ve been making excellent juicy lechon with the crispy crust since their humble beginnings in 1965.
As a way of saying thank you to everyone, they organized a grand concert and awarding night, hosted by Jeffrey Tam.
Darlene de Roca opened the show with her welcome speech, followed by words of acknowledgement by Ricky de Roca.
Lydia de Roca handed the awards to her employees, to whom she was very grateful for their efforts throughout the years. She considers her employees a part of her family. It is worth noting that many of her employees have been withย Lydia’s Lechon for at least 10 years. The oldest had been with them from the beginning, and that’s counting 50 years!

Tita Lydia, as people fondly call her, is a very down to earth person. Despite her success, she’s still very hands-on at work, and has a very warm personality that everybody finds endearing.
