Kuya Kim Responds to Fake News Announcing His Death

Kuya Kim candidly slammed the false report claiming his death. The fake news circulated on social media after a TikTok account using GMA Network’s logo announced his passing on June 3.

The post included a black-and-white photo of him with the text “Maraming salamat, Alejandro ‘Kim’ Iligan Atienza.”

The TV host took to social media to address the false report. He took a screenshot of the TikTok post and uploaded it on his social media accounts with written text that stated, “HOAX.”

On Facebook, he wrote, “Aabot din tayo diyan, but not today.” Meanwhile, he captioned his Instagram post with, “Nope, not today.”

In the comments section, celebrities and public personalities Arnold Clavio, Rita Daniela, Gretchen Fullido, Giselle Sanchez, and Kakai Bautista also called out the TikTok account for posting fake news.

This is not the first time Kuya Kim has encountered false reports claiming his death. In 2020, he was also victimized by fake news when a malicious website announced that he was in critical condition after getting involved in a shooting incident.
