The highly-anticipated romantic-comedy film My Love Will Make You Disappear, starring Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino, will premiere in March instead of its original screening on February 12.

The production company released a statement across its social media pages, emphasizing its commitment to bringing local films to a global audience.

“The move comes in light of new developments and exciting opportunities to expand into the North American market,” it wrote.
It added: “We are happy to share that global theatrical distributor Abramorama and award-winning international entertainment marketing firm Amorette Jones Media Consulting are collaborating again with Star Cinema in bringing the beautiful story to even more viewers as they believe in the film’s universal appeal that can captivate a broader audience.”
With the film’s sudden change of release date, fans of KimPau (Kim and Paulo’s fanbase) expressed their frustration, with some revealing that they had already booked plane tickets for the original release date.
“Final na ba yan kasi alam niyo mga fans ng KimPau karamihan OFW pano na kaming naka-book ng ticket (Is this final because a lot of KimPau fans are OFWs. How about those who were able to book tickets?” an Instagram user commented.
Meanwhile, another fan wrote: “It’s unacceptable that some fans travel to the Philippines to watch the KimPau movie, sacrificing valuable time off work… This situation is disappointing and needs to be addressed.”
My Love Will Make You Disappear marks Kim and Paulo’s first big-screen collaboration after their successful lead performances in Linlang and the local adaptation of the South Korean romantic-comedy series What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim.
In its official teaser, both actors were seen unexpectedly crossing their paths while being soaked in the rain—the ingredients for a memorable meet-cute!
The film will premiere in cinemas nationwide on March 26.
