In times when I need to isolate myself from the world in order to focus on post processing my photos and writing blogs, I usually book myself in clean and quiet budget hotels for a few days until I’m ready to go on with my travel adventures again. With the recommendation of my friends, I was fortunate to discover this very simple decent hotel with a top-notch location: Jupiter Suites along Jupiter St., cor Makati Ave.
I’ve been to this area many times, but I never noticed that this place exists. If only I knew about this last year, I never would have booked in that nearby budget hotel which was infested by roaches! huhuhu I will not mention any names, but it’s super near (walking distance from Jupiter Suites). It was indeed the worst hotel experience for me. After that horrible experience with that nearby hotel, I became interested in searching for quality affordable accommodations.
Anyways, I’m just really happy that I found Jupiter Suites. I’m so satisfied with their service, that I felt it was feature-worthy. =)
I heard that Jupiter Suites have been in the industry for 15 yrs thus, expect that its building isn’t as new or as modern like the other new hotels in Makati. But you see, I was greeted with such a sincere welcoming smile that I immediately felt I was in the right place. They surely know how to make a good 1st impression. =)
Then by the time I met Sir Henry at the front desk, again I was super impressed….
It was like meeting a long lost distant relative. He was super warm and accommodating. Even more accommodating compared with Front Officers in luxury hotels where they are programmed to say certain spiels when handling guests. Here at Jupiter Suites, I felt I was talking with a close and reliable friend. I felt the sincerity. No BS.
Composed of only 25 rooms and 3 floors
When I entered my room, I was surprised of how big it was. Obviously bigger compared with other standard budget hotels in Makati.
My room was fully air-conditioned, had 2 double beds, huge lcd-tv with cable, mini-ref, cabinets, own toilet and bath and free fast wifi. Hot water and use of hair dryer is available upon request (just dial “0”)
The price of this room was around P3,000++/night so I figured it will be ideal for a family or barkada of 4 (so that’s like 800/head)
I’m super sure that the traffic in Makati will become worse during the holiday rush, so I believe that Jupiter Suites would be an ideal place to stay after a long tiring day of Christmas Shopping. You and your loved ones will never be bored here ‘coz it’s surrounded by lots of restos and also KTV lounges. Also, after your reunions and drinking parties in Makati, you and your barkada may opt to spend the night here to rest and sober up instead of going home.
As for me, while I was there, I savored the huge space. It was exactly what I needed…space
Despite being located along Makati’s busy streets, I found the place to be quiet and peaceful. Quiet enough for me to work on my blogs. Oh, and their wi-fi is really reliable!

It had no bidet system though, but the hot and cold shower worked fine!
Since Jupiter Suites is already located in a prime area, there is really no need for them to put up a big resto. In the morning, they do provide guests with simple breakfast meals at their mini canteen at the 2nd floor.

their canteen looked very decent and tidy. The people there were super friendly as well.
I ordered their Tocilog meal. Nothing fancy but it was cooked nicely. No complaints.
For lunch and dinner, you may conveniently go out and find lots of restos. The choices are endless!
Whenever I would go out to buy some stuff, I felt everything I needed was within reach. Their location is simply awesome!
Jupiter Suites may not be as modern or as hip as the new budget hotels and hostels around Makati, but I believe that there is something special about their service, no wonder they have stood the test of time. 15 yrs in the hospitality industry is no joke so I believe they deserve to be recognized and of course patronized. I heard most of their staff have been there for many years, no wonder they treat each other as family… something which they also apply with their guests.
The management of Jupiter Suites can still make a lot of improvements like adding little extra details like cable tv channel guides per room, adding a bidet spray and maybe a coffee & tea making facility would be nice as well. But so far, I really have no complaints especially with their spacious rooms, comfortable bed, fast reliable wi-fi and super courteous staff which made all the difference!
Will I stay again at Jupiter Suites? You bet! ‘Coz here, it felt a lot like home. =)
