June Mar Fajardo proudly dedicated his gold medal from the Asian Games 2023 to his late mother, Marites Fajardo. He took to social media to pen a heartfelt message to his beloved mother, whom he always gives credit for all his achievements.
“Gold medalist na akong Mama! Wish I could put this medal around your neck Ma!” he captioned.
The PBA and Gilas Pilipinas star also posted a photo of himself beside his mother’s urn, offering his gold medal.

June Mar is known for being a proud mama’s boy and has been vocal about his love and gratitude for his parents. In August 2021, his mother passed away.
In an earlier post, he also shared his recent milestone as he showed off his gold medal, with the caption, “Dota player naka-gold sa Asian Games 2023 sa Hangzhou, China.”

Gilas Pilipinas won their first Asian Games men’s basketball gold medal since 1962 following a 70-60 victory against Jordan with Justin Brownlee as a top-scorer with 20 points.
Dubbed as “The Kraken,” June Mar has been playing for San Miguel Beermen since 2011. He is also a six-time PBA MVP and a mainstay of Gilas Pilipinas.
