Airing its final episode prior to its suspension, “It’s Showtime” bids a temporary farewell to the madlang people.

As the show on Friday (October 13) came to an end, Vhong Navarro spoke on behalf of his fellow hosts saying, “We’ll be right back! Mamimiss namin kayo, pero mabilis lang ‘yan. Kaya magkita-kita tayong muli.”
In the meantime, Navarro invited viewers to watch “This Is Your Lucky Day” which will temporarily replace the suspended noontime show for 12 days starting Saturday (October 14). He said, “Abangan niyo po bukas ang ‘It’s Your Lucky Day’ with Luis Manzano, Melai Cantiveros Francisco, Shaina Magdayao, Jennica Garcia, Seth, Francine, Long, Negi, Petit at Tetay.”

According to ABS-CBN’s statement, “The dynamic program ‘It’s Your Lucky Day’, from the same team behind ‘It’s Showtime’, will feature a set of original game and variety segments and will air from October 14 to 27, Mondays through Saturdays, at 12nn on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, and GTV. It will also be available on Kapamilya Online Live, iWantTFC, and TFC.”
When the program returns on air, the host teased, “Sa aming pagbabalik, October 28, magsasama-sama po tayong muli para sa ‘Mini Ms. U: The Cutest Finale’!”

The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) initially announced its decision to suspend “It’s Showtime” on September 4. This was following viewers’ complaints concerning its July 25, 2023 episode where hosts Vice Ganda and Ion Perez reportedly acted “indecently” during its “Isip Bata” segment.

On September 18, ABS-CBN Corporation together with GMA Network, Inc. filed a Motion for Reconsideration, which has been denied by the MTRCB according to a resolution released on September 28. After considering its options, ABS-CBN announced on October 6 that it would no longer appeal the suspension order.
