Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo has welcomed a new chapter in her life in the field of romance as she finally admitted to being in a relationship with actor Jeric Gonzales after months of rumors.
In an Instagram post, Rabiya shared photos and a sweet video she took with Jeric during their vacation in Bohol as she wrote in the caption: “Live. LOVE. Laugh. Thank you, Eric.” She added a red heart emoji too before tagging Jeric’s account.
Meanwhile, Jeric shared his own set of photos and videos from what seems like his recent travels with the beauty queen. “To more memories with you,” he wrote also with a red heart emoji. “I love you.”
Many of their friends jumped into the comments to gush over their romance reveal and send their congratulations.
It was as early as December 2021 when fans wondered if there was something blossoming between the two when they were spotted together in an amusement park in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. Later, they were also seen relaxing at a beach in Olongapo City.
The two starred in a “Wish Ko Lang” episode together in November 2021 which may have been where the sparks were felt.
Rabiya was formerly in a relationship with her longtime non-showbiz boyfriend Neil Salvacion. They broke up in May 2021.
