Its More Fun in Kalayaan : Festivals, Foodies, Friendships at UP Kalayaan Dorm #PasalubongFestival2013

Also, there are some food discoveries for me from every regions.ย Of course you food experts right there knew that much already. Just shut up and excuse me, its my first time to see/know this stuff. Region 4B is known for their seafood. Bicol region, best for Pili-nuts, the un-dying Bicol Express and all thatโ€™s spicy.ย CALABARZON, with their โ€˜kakaninโ€™ (rice meals? not quite), kape (coffee) and Kasuy (Cashew nuts).

Region 3 is quite impressive with their hot-air balloon booth and freshly cooked tocino and sisig. Region 8, there’s this new food discovery for me called โ€˜Humbaโ€™. They say โ€˜humbaโ€™ tastes like โ€˜adoboโ€™ with a twist, and all I can say is I wished they have let me tasted it. Arggghhh! Region 6 (Western Visayas), all sweets and pastries are there as displayed. Yeah, I guess all people there are so sweet (the writer is from Region 6, you know)!

Honest suggestions for other regional foodies Iโ€™ve missed, send me your delicacies so I can write about it (insert your intentions here)! Or at least, comeโ€™on and lemme tastes it first right. My โ€˜outmostโ€™ regret is not to taste all those foodies since I have to go ahead before the eating time begins, to catch my next itinerary! Just when I walked down the lobby, I need to get a souvenir photo with one of the muses! Sheโ€™s from Region 3 and please donโ€™t blame me why I never got her name. Maybe am hungry or weโ€™re like in a hurry, so whoโ€™s there from Region 3 anybody? Tell me who’s that girl. Yikes, kidding.

Well, here we are touring all these festivals, tasting these foodies and pastries. Aahhh, still canโ€™t believe I havenโ€™t or have regret it much (calling Regine Perania :)) And of course, meeting all these new friends from all these Regions is quite the coolest thing ever. Hope you have a blast and get ready for the review and scrutiny of 500+ dorm residents. Yeah, these highly opinionated gutsy digital natives called โ€˜Freshiesโ€™ with wi-fi on their dormitory. Wi-fi they say in the dormitory is getting fast (sarcasm)! And yes, you better wait for their comments. Kalayaan babies and alumni out there, hopefully you experience all the fun as you join this time around! But still more fun when you drop by next time. Now, you can scream โ€œIts more fun in Kalayaanโ€!!!ย Can i see you all again at Open-House, please do invite us again!

When in Manila,
canโ€™t you believe were now #1 as an Online Magazine in Travel and Leisure (thatโ€™s according to 100 Pinoy Blogs)? Yeah, you better got to believe it. Thatโ€™s how we roll. When in Manila, โ€œItโ€™s more fun in Kalayaanโ€. You can scream this every time your RA’s doin’ bed-check! Try it, I dare you! ย
