Do you miss Hyun Bin yet? A lot of films and series have been put on hold because of the COVID-19 pandemic, but it looks like some of our favorite Korean actors are ready to jump back into work. Actors Hyun Bin and Hwang Jung Min have recently flown to Jordan to start filming ‘Bargaining’, which is the first Korean movie to film overseas since the pandemic hit.
Upon arrival in Jordan, the actors and the film’s production team went through the necessary inspections in accordance with local quarantine procedures, as well as started self-isolation to ensure that they film in safety.
Based on the South Korean hostage crisis in Afghanistan in 2007, ‘Bargaining’ revolves around an attempted rescue of 23 kidnapping victims in the Middle East. The movie was set to start filming back in March; but due to COVID-19, those plans had to be moved. They have since kept in touch with the Jordanian government and have recently been granted permission to film in the country.
Other Korean movies that have been affected by COVID-19 include ‘The Outlaws 2’, ‘Bogota’ (starring Lee Hee-joon and Song Joong-ki), and ‘Kidnapping’ (starring Joo Ji-hoon and Ha Jung-woo).
