Olympic gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz marked another milestone as she graduated from college! She earned a degree in Business Administration major in Business Management at De La Salle College of Saint Benilde.
In a Facebook post, she shared her achievement along with photos of her graduation ceremony. The world weightlifting champion said it took 16 years before she graduated.
“Nakakaiyak din pala. Not an ordinary day. Inabot din ng 16 years, nagshift ng courses, nagtransfer ng school, nagLOA dahil ang hirap pagsabayin ang pagwe-weightlifting at pag-aaral,” she wrote.

Diaz mentioned that she dreamed of graduating from college and earning a degree while preparing for the Olympics, which she didn’t expect she’d successfully achieve, considering her hectic schedule for the competition.
“Hindi ko akalain na magagawa ko, after sleepless nights and tiring days from training while attending school at De La Salle – College of St. Benilde. Posible pala,” she said.
