We understand that there are some of us still reeling from what happened at Avengers: Endgame. But the show must go on and the Marvel Cinematic Universe is ready to give us new content, from movies to TV shows that will be streamed on Disney+. One of the titles we’re looking forward to is the third chapter of Ant-Man and here’s what we know so far.
Peyton Reed, who directed the first Ant-Man and its sequel Ant-Man and the Wasp, will return to helm the third movie. Paul Rudd, who played the titular character, is expected to return to play the superhero.
There’s no word what it will be about, but shooting is said to begin at the end of 2020 or the beginning of 2021. Ant-Man 3 will probably be released in 2022, following Black Widow (May 1, 2020), The Eternals (November 6, 2020), Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (February 12, 2021), Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (May 7, 2021), an untitled Spider-Man sequel (July 16, 2021), Thor: Love and Thunder (November 5, 2021), and Black Panther II (May 6, 2022).
Ant-Man and the Wasp saw the titular pair work with Hank Pym to retrieve his wife Janet van Dyne from the quantum realm. It has an 88% on Rotten Tomatoes, with the review, “A lighter, brighter superhero movie powered by the effortless charisma of Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly, Ant-Man and The Wasp offers a much-needed MCU palate cleanser.”
