After posting sweet messages on his social media and calling her “baby,” Joshua Garcia finally cleared the air on what he really feels for his leading lady, Janella Salvador.
Joshua went on Tonight With Boy Abunda to explain his relationship with Janella and the reason behind his affectionate behavior around her following the conclusion of their television series The Killer Bride.

“Sobrang close lang talaga naming magkaibigan,” he shared. “Si Janella kasi, siya ‘yung friend ko na katulad ko, parang ako. Ang dami naming similarities.”
(“We’re just really close friends. Janella is a friend who’s just like me. We have so many similarities.”)
Explaining his social media posts and their unmistakeable closeness during the viewing party of The Killer Bride’s finale, he said: “Nag-post din ako ng picture para malaman din ng lahat na magkaibigan kami. Siguro nung last day, kaya parang mukhang may something sa amin, kasi siguro sobra lang naming mami-miss ang isa’t isa.”
(“I just posted a picture so that everyone knows that we’re friends. Maybe it was because it was the last day, that’s why it seemed that there was something between us, but maybe it’s just because we missed each other so much.”)
But does Joshua entertain the possibility of courting Janella in the near future?
“Gusto ko siyang maging kaibigan habang buhay, more than maging girlfriend,” he said.
(“I want her to be my friend for life, more than I want her to be my girlfriend.”)
