As many of you know, the PBA just recently turned 42 years old last August 9. The league is one of the oldest professional leagues in the world, only behind the NBA.
Throughout its 42-year existence, the league has gone through many changes with teams, players, rules and formats. They’ve also gone through a few theme songs, such as the popular “Bayan ng Superstars” song, Sugarfree’s “Atin ‘To,” Philpop’s “Ito ang Liga” and Abra’s “Liga ng mga Bida,” and the “Kampihan Na” song.
On the day of its 42nd anniversary, the PBA released its latest theme song entitled “We are PBA” written and produced by local hip-hop icon Quest, who performed the song at the Mall of Asia Arena last Sunday.
