Han So-hee confirmed on March 16 that she’s dating Ryu Jun-yeol, a day after her agency, 9ATO Entertainment, denied dating rumors surrounding them. In a lengthy blog, the South Korean actress admitted they have “positive feelings” for each other, which developed at the beginning of 2024.
“Itโs true that we are in a relationship with positive feelings. However, I hope that people will not use the word โtransferโ [rebound],” she wrote in Korean, translated to English by the K-entertainment website, Soompi.
The two sparked dating rumors after they were seen together in Hawaii on March 15. So-hee added, “Itโs true that we met through the exhibition, but I went there through a friend whoโs a photographer with the goal of viewing the exhibition, and because Iโd heard the news that we might be doing a project together.”
She also shut down the cheating and third-party allegations linking her to Jun-yeol’s ex-girlfriend, Hyeri. To recall, they called it quits in November 2023 after dating for eight years.
“When we exchanged feelings for one another, it was already the beginning of 2024, and his breakup with that person [Hyeri] was already wrapped up in early 2023. Based on this fact, I confirmed my own feelings, and I kept going with the relationship.”
The “Nevertheless” actress even addressed her previous cryptic Instagram Story of a dog’s photo holding a knife, which she posted after Hyeri uploaded a photo of a vacation spot with the caption, “This is Funny.” So-hee wrote in the caption, “I donโt like people who have a significant other, I donโt lead them on while saying weโre just friends, I donโt take an interest in them, I donโt develop a relationship with them, and I donโt get in the way of other peopleโs relationships.”
She stressed in her blog post that she will apologize to Hyeri, admitting what she did was “pathetic” and “lame.”
“I will apologize to that person [Hyeri] regarding this fact, and I sincerely apologize to you all for not reacting wisely. Because I acted based on my emotions rather than rational thinking, I acknowledge that this is completely my fault, regardless of my reasons.”
She concluded her post by assuring her fans not to worry about her and promising to show a “better version” of herself, “Iโm sorry and apologetic, but because of that, I want to do better. I will learn how to control my greedy self, and I will greet you as a more mature version of myself.”
Meanwhile, Jun-yeol’s agency, C-Jes Studios, released a statement confirming their relationship.
“Ryu Jun Yeol and Han So Hee confirmed their positive feelings for one another and have been dating since the beginning of this year. Ryu Jun Yeol got to know Han So Hee after his breakup, and they recently confirmed their feelings [for each other],” the statement read.
The agency also emphasized that they didn’t make any confirmation when the two stars were seen in Hawaii, as the photos were taken without permission.
“Instead of an official confirmation of the sighting account at the vacation resort and the photos that were taken without permission [by the person who posted the account], we asked that people respect [Ryu Jun Yeolโs] privacy.”
So-hee is known for her roles in “The World of the Married,” “Nevertheless,” “Gyeongseong Creature,” and “My Name.” Meanwhile, Jun-yeol starred in “Reply 1988,” “Money Game,” and “Lost.”
