The Halohalo bag, which is raved all over social media for its style and durability, has been a go-to for fashion enthusiasts in the local lifestyle scene. However, the beloved woven bag brand is sadly closing its doors this January.
Across its social media pages, fans and customers of the beloved bag brand are met with unexpected, sad news with the announcement of its closure.
“It’s time to start a new chapter. Time to bid farewell to places and things that no longer serve us. Time to honour what lives within the heart,” wrote Halohalo’s creative director Cara Sumabat-Limjap.
She acknowledged the colorful journey that the bag brand has gone through, as well as everyone who became a part of its success.
“This journey of Halohalo has been a great one. To all the people who have been a part of it—from its infant stage and to its graduation into the real world—thank you,” she shared.
She added: “But it is time for me, time to pause, see where the road may lead.”
The announcement ended with gratitude for everyone who shared the journey with them.
“This book is closing and a new one is ready to be written,” the post reads. “Thank you for being a part of this ride.”
Following the announcement, fans and followers flooded the post with words of love and support for the local brand.
“Love halo halo forever,” Sunnies co-founder and creative director Martine Cajucom-Ho wrote.
Full-time content creator Marjorie Maroket replied: “Whaaat. Halo halo foreverrr.”
