Gretchen Barretto has revealed through an Instagram comment that her sister Marjorie neglected to invite mom Inday to their father Miguel’s birthday celebration last September 29, and blames her for causing his heart attack.
“Marjorie did not invite my mom to the gathering, and that’s what caused my dad’s attack,” she replied to a netizen who had noticed that Inday was absent in the photos of the late patriarch’s birthday party held at Marjorie’s home.
It was during the said party for Miguel’s 82nd birthday when he suddenly felt ill and was rushed to the hospital. He passed away two weeks later on October 15.
“Exactly one week ago today, we were celebrating my Dad’s 82nd birthday over lunch in my house. Right after the blowing of the candles on his cake, he took a nap and fell very ill,” Marjorie wrote in an Instagram post shared on October 6, revealing to the public the state of their father’s health.
“My siblings and I rushed him to the nearest hospital, I could say it say it was the scariest time for us all. After that day, it’s been a series of ambulance transfer, family meetings, non-stop praying, and big family gatherings at the ICU waiting area,” she added.

Gretchen and Marjorie have been firing nonstop at each other on social media following their alleged scuffle at their father’s wake.
Gretchen has even thrown shade at Marjorie’s daughter Julia as well as J.J.’s daughter Nicole, both of whom are also at odds with her.
Inday has remained silent amid the ongoing feud. However, she was captured having a meal with and being affectionate towards daughter Gretchen as seen in Claudine’s Instagram posts.
