The winner of Glen Powell’s look-alike contest, Max Braunstein, will get a special prize from the actor himself!
ICYDK, a Glen Powell look-alike contest was held at Auditorium Shores in Austin, Texas, the hometown of “Anyone But You” actor, on November 24. While Powell couldn’t attend the contest, his mother, Cyndy Powell, and aunt, Kathleen Fish, served as one of the judges!
Several contestants showed up, channeling their inner Powell in outfits inspired by his roles in “Twisters” and “Top Gun: Maverick.” Braunstein, a physician’s assistant from Austin, who dressed as Lieutenant Jake “Hangman” Seresin from “Top Gun: Maverick,” won the title.
He received a monetary prize of $5, a cowboy hat, and a free queso for a year from Tex-Mex restaurant chain Torchyโs Tacos. But that wasnโt allโPowell surprised him and the audience with a video announcement, offering Braunstein a “personal prize”: an opportunity for his parents or any family member to make a cameo in his next movie.
“I know there is some cash and a hat at stake here, but I just wanted to say that the winner of today’s contest gets a personal prize from me,” Powell said.
“You may know that my parents make a cameo in every movie I make, but today the winner of the Glen Powell look-alike contest wins their parents, or any family member of their choice, a cameo in my next movie,โ he revealed. โI am completely serious. This is a cash-value prize of $6 billion.”

As a bonus, Braunstein even had the chance to chat with the actor via video call! Powell is currently filmingย Edgar Wright’sย “Running Man.”
