Georgina Wilson to build Gawad Kalinga Village in Cavite

Commercial model, host and TV personality Georgina Wilson recently partnered with Gawad Kalinga (GK) to build the GK Georgetown Village in Dasmarinas, Cavite. The British-Filipino beauty shared the news on her Instagram account (@ilovegeorgina) with a photo and a caption that reads, “Today was such a special day. I am so moved and inspired by the people that I met today at the Gawad Kalinga Enchanted Farm. And today we formally signed the MOA to start a dream of mine – to build a village with GK.” Georgina Wilson also invited her friends and followers to help build productive communities for those in need.

Georgina Wilson also posted a photo of her with GK Founder and Chairman Tony Meloto, whom she describes as “one of the most inspiring people I have ever met” and another photo with a group of GK Youth who have volunteered to help build her GK Village in Cavite.

The proposed village will serve as a safe haven for those that have been living in places with disturbing incidents of crime, violence and poverty.

Gawad Kalinga (meaning to “give care”) is a global movement that aims to end poverty by first restoring the dignity of the poor. The organization moves families from danger zones to safe havens while promoting values-formation and leadership development to empower people and prevent loss of lives.
