Gamers.PH launching at Skinny Mike’s
When in Manila and you’re a gamer, I got good news for you. There’s a new way for you to get all your videogaming needs at a click of a button: Gamers.PH. This new website caters to the gamer in such a way that their videogame orders or pre-order are just one click away. Created by the Singapore-based companies Soldgers Pte. Ltd. And Sold.sg, Gamers.PH promises to take online videogame shopping and bidding to the next level!

A few days ago, When in Manila.com and other media outlets were there to witness the official launching of Gamers.PH at Skinny Mike’s.
Angeline Tham tells us how excited she is for the launch of Gamers.PH
Angeline Tham, co-founder of Soldgers ltd., said that they are excited to launch Gamers.PH in the Philippines by July 18, 2013. She said that Gamers.PH auction site is catered for the gamers since it is also run by gamers. Hence, it will offer the best deals, the hottest videogame releases and some creative bundles that the videogame enthusiasts will love. As far as the auction page of Gamers.PH goes, she explained that the winning bidder usually pays 60-98% less for the item they won compared to its usual retail price.

Boni Ong, X-Play’s VP for Sales and Distribution, said that he is also excited with X-Play’s partnership to Gamers.PH as its distributor. He said that the site will provide the a “whole new venue for online auction and shopping.”

Miss Tham gave us a brief rundown on how to register and use Gamers.PH. She noted that unlike other online auctions, Gamers.PH requires ‘tokens’ for people to bid (which can be purchased on the site itself). Another unique feature of Gamers.PH’s auction site is that all auction items start at zero php and the item’s price increases by 15 centavos when someone enters their bid. Also, when someone enters his/her bid into the item, another 20 seconds will increase in the bid timer, giving the other bidders extra time to out-bid. Miss Tham added that it’s a game of ‘outwit, outplay, and outbid’.

The members of the press got a surprise treat at the end of the event: a raffle draw. A lucky member from the audience got his name called out and won a nice prize (a gaming device) courtesy of Gamers.PH and X-Play.

As a videogame enthusiast, the launching of Gamers.PH would give me more options on how to purchase my videogames. Thanks to Gamers.ph, I won’t have to go through the hassle of going through long lines to get my pre-ordered videogame at retail stores. Instead, I will just wait at the comfort of my own house as Gamers.PH will deliver my purchased or pre-ordered videogame, right at my doorstep.
