Every customer availing the dessert buffet gets a chance to dine for free. Each one is given 1 chance to roll 5 dices. If the numbers 6, 1, and 2 appear face up, the customer wins a free dessert buffet on their current bill. However, those for those who don’t like to test their lucks, they can still get a guaranteed 12% discount on their dessert buffet receipt. They even offered 2 chances or 24% discount during their exact first anniversary on June 12. They had a long waiting line with that too.
Ms. Gail and Sir Choi, the owners of Gillian Gail, thought of sharing their happiness for the restaurant’s success through celebrating it with the 612 Promo for their supporters. Both coming from full time works, they took desserts at a whole new level- a heaven for people with the sweet tooth, to be exact.
Gillian Gail is located at 3/F, Oracle Building, Katipunan Avenue, Loyola Heights, Quezon City. Just a 15-minute walk away from LRT 2 Katipunan Station, or a 5-minute tricycle ride for only 18php.
So what exactly can your appetites expect?
I started off with the variety of cakes, all cut into small but equally scrumptious pieces. I personally like the red velvet with cream cheese the best, because really, what can go wrong with that?
They also have an a la mode fruit crepe in either banana or mango filling drizzled with chocolate or caramel syrup.

MUST TRY! Their crème brûlée and fried palitaw—an exclusive recipe of owner Choi. To be honest, I’ve actually never tried any palitaw as good as what Gillian Gail offers. Plus, the palitaw is newly fried which makes the experience extra special. The crème brûlée, on the other hand, is newly blow torched too!
They also have a lot of other great stuff to fill you in…like a lot. Panna cotta, cheesecake, cupcakes, assorted gummies, marshmallows, cookies, chocolates, nachos, cream puffs, braso de mercedes, sansrival, halo-halo, scramble, apple cobbler, and a whole lot more of other niceties! Most of the food in their buffet came from suggestions from customers, such as the halo-halo.
They also have available tanggal umay variants as part of their buffet, namely siomai, fish balls, and nachos among others. Neat, right? It’s a blessing if you want to enjoy eating dessert to the fullest. Other than getting menu suggestions from their visitors, they have taken their restaurant by reaching their customers. Adding up the tanggal umay variety is such a way that they are able to provide comfort and care for their clientele. I personally think this is why Gillian Gail is able to tap interests and taste buds of Filipinos.
Going back to the promo, me and my friends tried to roll out the dice to test our luck for the fun of it. But good news! my friend ate Nix was able to roll out 6, 1 ,and 2. The bad news? She’s on a diet and did not avail the dessert buffet. Sad, right? But the very opportunity for free dessert buffet is truly inviting.
Other than great food, I truly commend their waiters Carol and Jerald. They take initiative on what to do and are very polite. Which adds up to Gillian Gail’s success as a whole.
