Flappy Bird is making a comeback! The addictive mobile game that took the world by storm a decade ago recently announced its return on X with a trailer.
“Thanks to my super Flappy Bird® fans, I’m refreshed, reinvigorated, and ready to soar again,” the caption read.

The game reiterated that its decade-long mission involved acquiring legal rights and collaborating with its predecessor to prepare for the official relaunch across multiple platforms, including web browsers, iOS, and Android, in 2025.

According to its website, the revamped Flappy Bird will feature new characters, game modes, and multiplayer challenges. However, reports noted that it remains unclear whether the original creator of Flappy Bird, Dong Nguyen, is part of the game’s relaunch.
Flappy Bird, developed by Vietnamese video game artist and programmer Dong Nguyen, was released in May 2013. Its thrilling gameplay, where players control the bird, Faby, and navigate between columns of green pipes without colliding, became a huge hit among gamers. It was taken down in February 2014.
