Today, a single mention of the name “Kylie” and the image of the youngest member of the Kardashian Klan immediately comes to mind, so much that Kylie Jenner actually wants to put a trademark to her name… but it seems that another famous “Kylie” is displeased with this!
That’s Kylie Minogue for you, young millennials. The famous Australian singer and dancer has been performing as Kylie, even before the youngest Jenner was born, and has already released products under the singer’s name.
Kylie Minogue’s camp says that if the if the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office approved Jenner’s application then it would “cause confusion among consumers and dilute the pop singer’s brand.
”
The teenage Kylie is seeking protection for the name “Kylie” in connection with advertising services, according to World Intellectual Property Review, which Minogue’s representatives filed an opposition to.
