Allow me to share with you the newest hotel I fell in-love with during my recent visit in Thailand-ย Vince Hotel Pratunam in Bangkok which I booked via Agoda.com (only around P1,900/night).
Located at the heart of ย theย vibrant, dynamic districtย ofย Pratunam, the shopping paradise of Bangkok, is a newly built trendy hotel ideal for business and leisure travelers on a budget. ย The neighborhood virtually has everything that you can luxuriate in with its rows of shopping complexes, colorful street markets, lovely eateries, and nice cafesย that are all within walking distance.
Expect classic contemporary lodging with a twist at Vince Hotel.
As for the room, it had all the basic stuff I needed like ample space, a huge cozy bed, wifi, cable tv plus a lot of electric sockets to charge my gadgets. As you can see, the room may not be as hip or chic as the interiors at the lobby, but it’ll sure provide you the safety and comfort you desire. I guess my only suggestion is that I hope they could add more English channels in their cable tv.
Here’s a list of what they currently offer:
24-hour guest service (Thai and English speaking)
Free unlimited high speed Wi-Fi
Restaurant (buffet breakfast 6:30 โ 10:30 am)
Shuttle service to the main street
Security officer on duty 24/7
24-hour CCTV monitoring
Lobby lounge featuring a full bar
Taxi / doctor calling service
Elevator
Laundry service
Baggage storage
Meeting and conference room
As for my dining experience, I remember experiencing hearty breakfast meals during my short stay. The main restaurant may be small and serving quite a limited number of traditional Thai dishes, but all of themย were prepared so well.
Awwww! I miss this meal sooo much!
This ย place is so unlike other hotels I’ve stayed in before. I love the interiors!
…. and most spots are instagrammable too!
Their resto is currently only open during breakfast so if you feel hungry, you can easily buy meals at these huge vendo machines…
What to do in Bangkok?
1. Go on a shopping spree!
You’ll never run out of things to enjoy here at Pratunam since a lot of popular shopping areas are of walking distance:
10-minute walk to Airport Link, Ratechaprarop station.
15-minute walk to Central World, high-end shopping complex.
8-minute walk to Platinum, the fashion shopping paradise.
20-minute walk to Gaysorn Plaza, classy department store.
30-minute walk to Central Embassy, newest ultra-luxury lifestyle mall.
2. Get a Massage
It was also my 1st time to see a whole street filled with spa/massage services so I didn’t hesitate to treat myself onto a Thai Foot Massage.
3. Learn to Cook!
I also enrolled at the Bangkok Thai Cooking Academy where I got to learn to make all my favorite Thai dishes! Tuition fee is only around 1,200 -1500 Baht. Super worth it as the teachers are really good and very hands-on.
4. Explore and visit the Ancient city of Ayutthaya!
My solo trip to Ayutthaya was totally unplanned! Good thing a friend of mine referred a Pinoy owned travel agency based in Bangkok called C Travel Experiencewhich offers super affordable tours. For only 1,600 Baht, you’ll get to see over 5 ancient temples and destinations that will all make you WOW!! The tour also includes a round trip shuttle pick-up service from your hotel and a river cruise lunch buffet! Sulit!
Next time, I’ll definitely book for a longer stay and bring a bigger luggage so I can explore more and do more shopping!
I’m really happy and satisfied with my Vince Hotel booking via Agoda.com. Highly recommending it to you, if you’re looking for a good reasonably priced hotel in Bangkok!
