No more waiting on a miracle—an “Encanto”-themed ride is officially coming to Walt Disney World!
Disney made the announcement last week at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event and shared concept art of what it’s going to look like. See it below!
According to the official press release, the ride will feature “state-of-the-art trackless ride technology, allowing vehicles to move fluidly through highly detailed scenes, accompanied by an original musical score by composer Danny Elfman.” It will make use of “special effects, animatronics, and immersive environments.”
It will be built at a new space at the Animal Kingdom of Walt Disney World which will be themed around Tropical Americas. This new area will be called Pueblo Esperanza, which will also feature an “Indiana Jones”-themed ride.
Construction on the new area is expected to begin this fall. It’s scheduled to open to the public in 2027.
