Critically acclaimed electronic music producer and artist Elephante released his latest full-length album, COPE, via his label Hidden Horizon on November 29th. The album delves into the emotional spectrum of healing and resilience, exploring the ways we navigate trauma and hardship. With its introspective themes and genre-blending soundscapes, the release was accompanied by national billboards, an Asia radio and press campaign, a US Dance Radio promo, social media promotions, and a SoundCloud Song Launch campaign.
Four days after the album release, Elephante unveiled full accompanying national tour dates.
The album’s focus single, “Taste of Your Tongue” ft. babyidontlikeyou, encapsulates the whirlwind of nostalgia and flawed romance, showcasing Elephante’s talent for blending emotionally charged storytelling with his signature electronic production. “‘Taste of Your Tongue’ is a song about nostalgia and looking back with rose-colored glasses at an old relationship that didn’t work out. As time goes on, we forget the bad and remember the good, and sometimes we make mistakes trying to recapture the magic. And sometimes you just gotta say fuck it, and have that fling that you know you shouldn’t,” Elephante explained. The track is driven by punchy beats and shimmering synths, capturing both the exhilaration and regret of revisiting past emotions.
COPE is a deeply thematic album, with each track representing a different facet of dealing with life’s challenges. Elephante elaborated, “Thematically, it’s about all the different ways that we get through trauma and difficult moments in our lives. Each of the songs is a different approach to coping.” From nostalgic reflections to cathartic releases, the album offers a nuanced and relatable emotional journey while continuing to push Elephante’s sonic boundaries.
Released via his Hidden Horizon label, COPE builds on Elephante’s mission to uplift emerging and underrepresented voices in electronic music. Following the success of his previous singles, the album stands as a highlight in Elephante’s already impressive career.
