We’ve got great news for all of you!
It seems that the road to amazing health care benefits in our country is in full swing after President Duterte recently signed the Republic Act No. 11228 — this amends the Section 20-A of RA 7277 of the Magna Carta for Persons with Disability. Under the new law, the PhilHealth shall also develop exclusive packages for PWDs that can address their specific health and development needs. Yay!

Regardless of what type of disability, whether it’s physical, mental, or psychological, PWDs are given the assurance that the services they need will now be more accessible to them.
The enactment of this law is indeed wonderful news to all our PWDs loved ones. It surely gives them equality and equity to medical services and of course gives them the assurance wherein our government will highly prioritize their inclusion in the society.
