Dingdong Dantes broke his silence regarding the claims that he has a child with his former co-star, Lindsay De Vera.
In an interview on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” on May 9, he dismissed the resurfaced rumors with a straightforward response, “Wala po. Hindi totoo [It’s not true].”

The actor-host admitted having second thoughts about whether he’d speak up on the rumors or not. However, since his family and friends were reaching out to him, he reiterated that he decided to take responsibility for clarifying the issue.
“I have a responsibility sa aking pamilya di ba [to my family] to clear things like this. Because I love my wife, I love my family very much, my kids. That’s why I’m saying that it is not true,” he asserted.
He even shared that he and his wife, Marian Rivera, just laughed it off, but he still felt the need to address it, “Noong una, pinagtatawanan talaga namin siya pero dumating na nga rin sa punto na marami nang nagtatanong sa akin [At first, we were really laughing about it, but it came to the point when many people were asking me].”
“Once and for all, I’m clarifying, hindi siya totoo [It’s not true],” he added.
Boy Abunda recalled that the rumors started four years ago and asked the “Rewind” actor why it keeps resurfacing, to which he responded, “I really have no idea. Mahirap magbigay ng mga spekulasyon tungkol dyan dahil sa totoo lang, first time ko na mapunta sa ganitong sitwasyon [It’s hard to give speculations about it because to be honest, this is the first time I’ve been in a situation like this].”
In 2021, Lindsay first denied the rumors and emphasized that she never had a relationship with Dingdong. She also mentioned planning to file charges against the people who spread it.
The two were co-stars in the 2016 series “Alyas Robin Hood.” Meanwhile, Dingdong and Marian have been married since 2014.
