When in Manila, nobody needs another reminder that your hair is your crowning glory. Itโs perhaps the most cliche quote used in articles relating to new hairstyles! So let me start by saying that your hairstyle is an often overlooked factor in peopleโs first impression of you. It frames your face; it highlights (or hides) your best features. While usually conservative when it comes to hair colors, Iโve recently been attracted to the ombre and balayage trend. I like how theyโre instant accessories that also function as creative style statements. I went Pinterest-crazy, and these ten beautiful hairstyles gave me my much-needed hair inspo to decide on my new โdo. I hope it does the same for you!

I personally like those that start with dark roots. That way, when my hair grows out, I wonโt regularly have to go to salons to retouch the roots of my hair. Which of these do you like the most? Do you have any suggestions on who to see in order to get this done? Though I’m sure about wanting to have a balayage/ombre ‘do, I’m very unsure where to go. I had a bad experience before. When I asked for a balayage, the salon colored my roots black and the bottom part light brown. No color blending. They literally just used two colors! (LOL. NAGMUKHA AKONG MANOK.)
I guess this should also serve as a warning to our readers. ๐ Not all salons that offer balayage or ombre are actually capable of offering those services. Iโm doing a research about it and will likely publish an article soon. Of course, your firsthand stories and suggestions on salons and stylists would be helpful!
P.S. Last week, I wrote about 10 short hairstyles you could get inspiration from. For those who want to make a change by sporting shorter hairstyles, you might want to check that out!
Will be waiting on the best suggestion for Balayage. My cousins from the US are in town and are asking me about this and I have no idea where to bring them
