CJ Opiaza placed first runner-up at this year’s Miss Grand International!

The Filipina beauty queen received the title during the pageant’s coronation night held in Bangkok, Thailand on October 25.
India’s Rachel Gupta was crowned Miss Grand International 2024. Meanwhile, Myanmar’s Thae Su Nyein was the second runner-up, France’s Safiétou Kabengele was the third runner-up, and Brazil’s Talita Hartmann was the fourth runner-up.
During the question and answer portion, CJ was asked, “What do you think is the most critical issue in the world today that needs to be resolved, and what solutions do you propose?”
She answered, “The most pressing issue that we have today is the presence of who war and violence. We can see all around media that there are people dying, people suffering. You can see the kids crying, their dreams are being shattered. How our differences makes us divided. I collect you all as you leave this place today to bring much more kindness, respect, and treat one another as human. We live in the same world, we breathe the same air. We are living in the same place. Treat one another as your brothers and sisters.”
CJ continues the legacy of Nicole Cordoves and Samantha Bernardo, who both finished first runner-up in Miss Grand International in 2016 and 2021, respectively.
