After a short rest on our rooms, we had a quick tour of the facilities of Citadines and off to a day exploring Salcedo Village.
Yep, that’s how spacious my room is. Each room is also carefully designed and accented with Filipino touches like the Capiz lighting fixtures and artworks byย ย contemporary Filipino artists.

Compact but fully-equipped kitchen
ย
Spotlessly clean bathroom

After freshening up, we went to check their lap pool. I wasn’t able to take a dip but it was such a relaxing sight especially at nighttime.
ย
Citadines also has a jacuzzi that the residents can use for that well-deserved R&R.
ย
Citadines also offers laundry service which is very convenient for guests. Guests can also opt to diy it with the self-service laundrette area.
ย
Health is also a priority so they have a fitness center so that you can still stay in shape.
ย
As part of the Salcedo Village, Citadines is committed in being an active part of the community and aims to promote the sense of belongingness wherein residents can experience what Salcedo has to offer.
Salcedo Village has a variety of establishments and services that can cater to a personโs different interests – ย yoga sessions, dance classes, and other fitness related activities; there are also various cultural, gastronomic, or entertainment services that will make their stay at the Citadines a lot more exciting. And there’s the Salcedo Weekend Market that offers a rich assortment of food and home finds that guests will surely enjoy.
ย
A trip to the Salcedo Weekend Market,ย Jaime Velasquez Park , opens every Saturday, 7 AM to 2 PM | They had prepared an exciting activity for us, similar to a Scavenger Hunt wherein we were given clues to find a stall.
We had our hearty lunch at XO 46 Bistro (G/F Le Grand Condominium 130 Valero Street), which I highly recommend for the experience. ย XO 46 takes pride in preserving Filipino traditions and cuisine. All of their servers are dressed in baro’t saya and the fun part, everything is spoken in Tagalog. It was a very unique lunch experience.
Then we headed to Communeย Cafรฉ (Liberty Plaza, 102 H.V. Dela Costa Street, Salcedo Village) for a Latte Art Class which I immensely enjoyed!
ย
After the fun-packed day we had, it was time to head back to Citadines and enjoy the rest of our F, R, & R (fun, rest and relaxation) weekend.
To cap off the day, we had an in-room Traditional Filipino Massage care ofย Serenity Aromatherapy Home Spa. You can ask Citadines to set you a home service massage appointment with them.
ย
If you still got the energy, you can roam around the vicinity of Salcedo at night for a quick grub, meet-up with friends, or head your way to the mall district to catch a film or do some shopping. Citadines is conveniently located to give you both the comfort of home and the proximity of Makati’s lively community.
ย
I certainly enjoyed my staycation weekend at the Citadines Salcedo Makati! I loved how comfortable my stay was and how close I was to the best of what Makati has to offer. If you are looking for the next place to spend your well-earned staycation or if you’re an international guest looking for a place you can call home in the Metro, I’d highly recommend Citadines Salcedo Makati. Aside from their topnotch service and amenities, Citadines goes the extra mile in keeping the Salcedo Village community alive and making sure that their guests also becomes a part it.
