Celeste Cortesi continues to be an active figure in the pageant scene as she will be part of the official selection committee of Miss Universe Egypt.
On social media, Miss Universe Egypt called Cortesi the “pride and the forever queen of the Philippines, the celestial beauty with unparalleled charm and grace.”
Cortesi joins Sameera Shah, an Egyptian celebrity and philanthropist, on the committee.
There is no word when Miss Universe Egypt 2023 will be held, but this will mark the pageant’s return after a three-year hiatus. The winner will represent Egypt in the Miss Universe pageant, which will be held in January 2024 in the USA.

Cortesi’s role in the selection committee follows her judging stint for Miss Universe Thailand 2023 last August.
The beauty queen represented the Philippines in Miss Universe 2022.
Cortesi did not make it to the top 16 of the pageant.

She did, however, make her mark at the preliminary competition and national costume show.
Cortesi stunned in a pink two-piece number during the swimsuit portion and a sky-blue dress designed by Oliver Tolentino in the evening gown segment.
She wore a Darna-inspired look during the national costume competition. This won the support of the family of Mars Ravelo, who is the co-creator of the superhero.
