The College Editors Guild of the Philippines, the oldest, broadest, and only-existing alliance of tertiary student publications in the Asia-Pacific region, will hold the 77th National Student Press Convention (NSPC) and the 39th Biennial Student Press Congress (BSPC) on March 6-10, 2019 at the Performing Arts Hall, University of the Philippines, Cebu.
The NSPC will provide lectures and workshops on basic, intermediate, and advanced journalism skills. Likewise, training in different literary genres will be given. And as part of the Guild’s 87 years of dedication in educating student journalists regarding the plight of the country, various socio-political discussions will also be featured.
The Guild has invited respected media practitioners and luminaries of Philippine literature. Also, promising writers will be honored in the 13th Gawad Benjaline “Beng” Hernandez, 37th Gawad Marcelo del Pilar, 18th Gawad Ernesto Rodriguez, Jr.
In connection with the awards, all entries must be sent on or before February 25, 2019 to Room 305 National Press Club, Bldg., Magallanes Dr., Intramuros, Manila 1002.
