On September 27, Warner Music Philippines invited their friends from the media and a few lucky fans to a very intimate “Warner Night”ย held at 123 Block, Pioneer Street. The venue was so Instagrammable and the lineup consisted of three amazing artists featuring Carlie Hanson, Jarlo Base, and Quest (with special guest Ralph Salazar).

It was Carlie Hanson‘s first time in Manila. She’s only 19 years old, yet she has already made a name for herself, opening for artists like Troye Sivan, and will be touring with Lauv in the near future.

Before she hit the stage, we did a quick interview with her. She told the story of how she started in this industry, getting discovered by iHeartRadio for a cover she did of Zayn’s Pillowtalk. It was one of the most popular entries in their contest and to think, she didn’t even win! She then revealed that her biggest inspiration is Justin Bieber. Yes, you read that right. Carlie is not only a Directioner, she’s also a die-hard Belieber and I’m so down with it! (I’ve been a Belieber all my life. hahaha!)

Carlie Hanson opened the show with such high energy that carried throughout the night. She performed songs from her EP – Junk. She performed with such great passion and grace for someone still so young. After her set, she took the time to meet and greet her fans outside. She joked around with them, gave them hugs, and took selfies with them. She is such a nice and down to earth artist!

Jarlo Base toned it down for a short while with his smooth and melodic set. He’s one artist you definitely have to look out for in the indie scene!

Quest capped off the night performing his new songs from his new album – Dream Awake. Each song he performed was filled with emotions and feels. I really enjoyed listening to his heartfelt song lyrics.

Dream Awake is now also streaming on Spotify. Ya’ll make sure to get your tissues ready before you listen to it!
He then brought out Ralph Salazar for a very powerful performance of One Way Ticket.

Thank you, Warner Music Philippines for making this possible!
