I first went to Bypass Burger in BF Homes with zero expectations just a day or so after it opened its doors. It was completely unplanned, too. I was at Serenitea on Aguirre Ave with my boyfriend one day when I noticed thatย my designated spot for OOTDs – the saradong tindahan right next door to Serenitea – was gone and was turned into what is now Bypass Burger.
The flashing logo of Bypass Burger was already intriguing in itself; but when we stepped in, I found myself overwhelmed by the entire place. (If you know me, I’m a sucker for themed restaurants, so my excitementย really shouldn’t be a surprise.)

Check out how they designed the place:
Okay, so maybe it’s a teeny tiny bit morbid and maybe even a bit insensitive to some people, but again: if you know me, I’m a sucker for morbid humour, so my excitement really shouldn’t be a surprise. :p

The menu is full of dark wit, too, with burgers called Single Bypass, Double Bypass, Triple Bypass, Stroke, Migraine, Heart Attack and Cardiac. Don’t get discouraged from ordering them, though – at least not if you’re young and with a healthy heart. Fortunately, we’re still strong and kicking, so we were able to enjoy the place to our hearts’ content – no pun intended.
Bypass Burger has various drinks on offer, including your choice of soft drinks (Php35 each),ย fruit shakes (Mango Chill and Watermelon Colds at Php68 each) and what they call DiabeTEAS (Red Iced Tea and Lemon Iced Tea at Php30 each).
As for the burgers? Where do I even begin? We tried quite a lot of them, and they all taste heavenly! Here’s a rundown of what you can choose from:
Single Bypass (Php98)
Call me boring, but this is my favorite burger at Bypass Burger. It may look simple and it may be the smallest one on the menu, but it tastes like a Whopper, Jr. (my favorite burger EVER โฆ since I was a child!
) โฆ but it’s better because it’s bigger than a Whopper, Jr. and is actually available along Aguirre – a major plus for those who live in BF Homes like me, don’t want to brave the traffic to SM BF and want to eat out instead of ordering.
Double Bypass (Php168)
Pretty much the same as the Single Bypass, but for those with a slightly heftier appetite. There is a Triple Bypass (Php238), too, for those who believe that they can down a burger with three quarter pounder beef patties. Hats off to you if you can!
Migraine (Php128)
The Migraine burger is special because it has onion rings AND barbecue sauce in it. You can either take off the onion rings and eat them separately or munch on the entire thing like a boss. Either way, barbecue sauce lovers will LOVE this option!
Cardiac (Php358)
The god of all of Bypass Burger’s burgers: say hello to the Cardiac Burger! It doesn’t reallyย lookย thatย big in the picture, but trust me when I say that it is MONSTROUS in real life. I think it took three people to try and get through it, but it was impossible. They had leftovers. Of course, as with other humongous burgers offered at other burger joints, Bypass Burger has a Cardiac Burger Challenge for those who want to dare and try and eat this on their own. Just ask the staff for more details (and good luck!).
The Cardiac Burger next to the Double Bypass for comparison.
Of course, Bypass Burger won’t force you to shoveย burgers down your throat if you don’tย feel like eating burgers. They’ve got other stuff on the menu that are worth trying, too!
Pasta Anemia (Php88 for Single and Php138 for Double)
This is basically Creamy Chicken Alfredo Pasta, but it is the BEST Creamy Chicken Alfredo Pasta I have ever had! I would actually place this on top of my favorite picks at Bypass Burger after the Single Bypass, which is strange, since it isn’t even a burgerโฆ but really, it’s sooooo good!
Sausage Syndrome (Php168)
If you want a hot dog with chili con karne, they’ve got that, too! In fact, they’ve even got spicy buffalo wings with fries and grilled cheese sandwiches, so you definitely won’t run out of choices at Bypass Burger!
It really isn’t any wonder why Bypass Burger was so incredibly popular when it opened. It got so crazily packed at one point that dozens of people were lining up outside and some were getting their orders to-go because their food is just that good. Don’t believe me? Try it out yourself!
