BTS is about to set a new record with their album Map of the Soul: Personaโand it’s not even out yet!
Billboard reports that the hottest Korean boyband of the year has sold over 2.6 million copies since they opened pre-orders last March 13. Within just a week, BTS is already close to beating their previous records from prior album sales.ย LOVE YOURSELF ็ต ‘Answer’ย released in September last year sold 2.7 million units, whileย LOVE YOURSELF ่ฝ ‘Tear’ย released in May sold 2.3 million units. These included physical and digital album sales.
Map of the Soul: Persona is scheduled to be released on April 14 ahead of the group’s Asia tourย Love Yourself: Speak Yourself. BTS is also reportedly going to premiere songs off their upcoming album during their appearance at Saturday Night Live on April 13.
