Speaking of preserving tradition, Bluewater Panglao’s Filipino-inspired Architecture creates the perfect blend of sophistication and comfort of a luxurious but homey place. The use of native materials and ethnic patterns showcases our heritage. The rooms were very spacious, breathable, and well lit. I’d also give it a star for cleanliness. They have 54 rooms (23 Premier Deluxe Poolside, 23 Premier Deluxe Pool view, 4 Family Lofts, 3 One Bedroom Villa, and 1 Two-Bedroom Villa).
What I love about Bluewater Panglao is that they don’t just provide a place to stay, they want their guests to have an enjoyable time at the resort as well. So apart from the luxurious accommodations, the resort is decorated with world-class amenities that are tailored to fit the needs of every member in the family. It boasts a marine sanctuary that highlights the natural beauty of Bohol. You can easily enjoy the lush aquatic life of Panglao without having to leave your hotel.
Bluewater Panglao also has several installations in different corners of the property, that facilitate group activities, perfect for family trips and company outings, such as a board game corner, a volleyball court — where my family and I enjoyed a healthy game between the employees, non-motorized water sports facilities, an obstacle course, and an ATV trail, among others.
The relaxed yet dynamic vibe of Bohol makes for the perfect family getaway. I can’t even remember when our schedules last jived to make time for a family vacation, but alas we were able to find time to explore one of the most sought-after destinations in the country together.
What was initially a special affair turned into a more precious and memorable one because of the comforts and convenience brought about by staying in a convivial and charming place like Bluewater Panglao. We were privileged to enjoy a private yet not entirely remote spot. It was our own little quiet space away from the hustle and bustle of the city life — a little piece of paradise.
